Hi Scott,
That stuff, used to be used, maybe 15-20 years ago.
They stopped using it when the preformed ones came out, which were
easier, not to mention safer.
The other ones were a fire hazard. Too much friction, and they burst
into flame.
With the sheet, I think you would need too much in the way of
specialized tools to make it economically feasible.
