Hello Charles,

That class is being offered on Saturday, period 2, in the Delta room, and =
again on Sunday, period 1, also in the Delta room. The following is the =
class description:

Voicing the Yamaha Way
Terry Niimi, Director of Piano Services at Yamaha, Yamaha concert =
technician and long-time instructor for the Technical Academy in Japan, =
will demonstrate voicing a piano the way Yamaha does it. He covers the =
regulation and tuning essentials that lead to proper aftertouch and tone, =
and gives special emphasis to voicing with a real-time demonstration. =
This class is designed to take you through the Yamaha procedure, with a =
close-up look at hammer shaping, fitting to strings, string leveling, =
needling, etc. Terry will show how the job can be done in the most =
efficient, effective way.=20

The June Journal announces that there is a new class taught by Terry Niimi
from Yamaha about "voicing a piano the Yamaha way". But I don't see it on
the convention website anywhere. Anybody know anything about it?

Charles
