I'm sorry you won't be in Chicago too, your posts are always interesting and it is clear that you are a great guy, it would have been nice to meet you in person.
In our area almost all the techs drive Volvo wagons--Volvos have the image worldwide of being well engineered and well made, great technical machines, and that image is pretty good for a tech to have.  Also, it is an acceptable car to be sitting in the driveway of even the most posh homes, so your clients are not embarrassed--although not quite as good as a Mercedes ;-(
