After hanging the hammers and allowing the glue to dry, I remove them from 
the rail.

I cut the excess off on a band saw and rough cut the tail arc in one 
motion. Then arc the tail on a disk sander.

Then weigh them and adjust as needed.

Prior to hanging, I bore and taper the hammers and trim the tails to equal 
lengths if needed.
