For all practical purposes, an appreciable tuning can be produced from 4
bps flat (16 cents).
Notice the key word: appreciable. Remember, it's in the music not
necessarily the absolute
which comprises what sounds 'good'.

At A4, 4cents equates to about 1 bps (beat per second).

For performance tuning: 2bps / 8c flat would require a pitch raise but
could get by in a pinch
with one pass. You'll find that time is a rare commodity.

Whether you mute the entire piano and pull up one string per unison or tune
each unison as you go
is entirely up to you. Try each method many times and see which one you prefer.
