Hi James, Peterson products don't seem to be discussed on this list, so it would seem they are not the preferred choice. I would recommend that you learn to do it aurally first, it is too much of a temptation to use the ETD. (Electronic Tuning Device) I started with one, and have never been able to master aural tuning to any degree of proficiency. It is too easy to use the ETD as a crutch. If you have the willpower to just use the ETD to prove your aural skills, then great. I unfortunately was not able to do this. I have used the SOT, SAT l and now have a SAT lll, so naturally that would be my first recommendation. Also there is the CyberTuner, TuneLab and the Verituner, which are also highly recommended. Also, what types of tuners are good in general? Is this a | respected model? Thanks! | | james gammon | |
