    When I first started tuning I got one of those thingees from a nice =
lady whose husband had passed away. ( I also got a really great piano =
tilter. )  =20
   =20
    I soon learned that I could tune better without it, within six =
months or so. I was learning to tune aurally, and using that to check my =
temperament.=20

    They can fool you though, while you're gazing at the spinning wheel, =
you can actually hypnotize yourself into thinking what a great tuning =
you're doing, but when you turn it off, you kind of wake up and =
realize,,,,,,,,,,,

    Just kidding Bill, I wasn't talking about you..................

  I have had one of these for about a year, and am quite happy with it. =
You
  do have to listen, and you do have to learn to watch the many thing =
the
  spinning wheel does.  Bill Peterson
