IMHO regluing old exploded hammers is not evil or unprofessional. Gluing them back reintroduces tension. Replacing a few with new makes a piano look worse and devalues it. It's akin to that disconcerting omen of seeing many new shinny strings scattered about amoung the old. Reglued hammers often sound equal to neighbors and thick CA is more than up to the task. -Mike Jorgensen Just don't glue yourself to the hammer, even worse, in the piano with the screwdriver out of reach or on a drop action.
