Paint remover or a scraper. Are you hoping to remove the white and leave the original finish? That might be quite a trick. I would suggest either go with the bathtub stars, or strip it to bare wood and start from scratch. I've used liquid strippers previously. I am going to try scraping on my next piano. Did a little on a square grand and it seems to work well. I've got some nice scrapers from Pianotek. In fact, I may start doing this real soon as my soundboard spruce is busy drying over the next week or two. I've never really used a scraper before. Anyone care to offer some words of wisdom for the masses?
