Greg- I don't think your question was answered yet. I believe your problem is that you are viewing the message in the preview pane, without actually opening it. When I do that, I get the same two lines that you do. I don't like to use preview, but you can open any message simply by double clicking on it, not single clicking, which simply opens the particular message in the preview pane. Go to "TOOLS" then "OPTIONS" then "VIEWING MAIL". You can set it to either show preview panes or not. The "Blah Blah" button Ron spoke of is only visible when reading an opened message Let us know if this works.
