If the colored material has not penetrated into the plastic, one option would be to just run them over the buffing wheel. If you have never used a buffing wheel on keys, STAND BACK, a good wheel will remove deep scratches and all sorts of nasty stuff. May be the way to go. It won't hurt to try one.
