Killer Octave Question - S shape theory

My Bechstein has a little positive crown coming off the belly rail toward the long bridge. The long bridge in angled back (rolled bridge, as such). Then the soundboard has negative crown from the long bridge to the curved side of the case. It would be pretty neat if it did not sound so bad.
