The laminations are still quarter sawn stock. Flat sawn stock would bend =
even easier but wouldn't be quite as stiff.

We've done it both ways--vertical-grain and flat-sawn--and if there is a =
difference in either bending qualities, springback or stiffness we've =
been unable to detect it.=20
