I'm just getting started and have only done 2 tunings for $$$. I've been =
taking the Randy Potter Course which I started in February. Last night I =
used WORD to create my own invoice using an invoice template for =
starters and then modified it. I placed my custom business card/logo top =
left with all the important contact information.

Because I'm trying to save money I tore out carbon paper from a stack of =
old garage invoices that I had saved for my kids to play "store" with. =
Stapled a piece of carbon paper between two printed invoices and it =
seems to work out quite well today. Copy for me and one for the =
customer.=20

Now I need to find out what to do to make this business legal tax wise =
etc. Since I'm buying the course in shipments I have not gotten that =
portion of Randy's course in the business section!

I use one of the several vertical market programs out there for piano =
techs. PTBiz. It has some limitations in the invoice area though and =
if I was more computer literate I might go to one of the more =
sophisticated types mentioned. =20
Can't change fonts at will or reformat the invoice. =20

Yes, I carry a laptop and I use TuneLab Pro. The laptop is my main =
computer so I have all my data with me all the time. Each night I copy =
all the important data files to my desktop machine that has become =
little more than a backup 'puter. The computers at home are networked =
so backing up the data is just a matter of clicking one one batch file =
(yes, DOS batch files still work and save a lot of time!)

I don't know. The newest Canon in this line is the BJC-55 and =
is supposed to have some new features. The BJC-5x printers will operate =
with the IR port so I guess the main issue would be if there is a =
printer driver for the PDA you currently use. The BJC-55 will also run =
from the USB port, but I doubt that would help. =20
