Hi David, Dampp-Chaser recommends keeping dehumidifiers out of the action. This is based on our experience and the concerns of piano manufacturers. Dampp-Chaser developed a pin block dehumidifer a number of years ago. The challenge was two rather large holes had to be drilled to gain access to the action. Members of our local PTG chapter took a look and explained that no technician would want to drill those holes. We are open to any ideas you folks might have. Feel free to email me off the list.
