What could make the downweight of a good, 2 year old piano action change in less than two weeks? About 3 weeks ago, the complaint was that this Boston grand piano action was causing the owner, who practiced about 5 hours a day, was getting pains in his wrist. However, when he practiced on his church piano, a Steinway grand, he had no pain. The starting downweight was over 65 grams. After I eased the balance centers, cleaned the center pins, put teflon powder on the knuckles, adjusted the repetition heights and the jacks, the downweight was a pretty even 52 grams and the guy was happy. Two weeks later, the weight was back over 60 grams and his wrists are hurting.. Solutions or suggestions? Carol Beigel
