heavy Steinway action

"Does anyone call Steinway about these heavy actions?" Yikes! Evidently, you
have never had to personally talk to The Steinway Folks, (Caps
intentional<G>), regarding a problem! They are and always have been, (to
quote my olde Mentor), Very Cavalier! For you Youngins, (I avoid using the
"Newby" term. <G>), you only need to have that experience, just once, and
you'll never ask that question again! Combine The New Yawk Attitude with
typical German Attitude and Longivety Attitude and you have the answer to
your question: IMHO, once they've sold the piano, they really don't give a
S***! Do they want us to "Re-what-ever" any of their pianos? Not no, Hell
no! (and this applies to all manufacturers) They are in the business to
make/sell pianos. The more that are condemmed and trashed, the happier they
will be. Think about it.
Best Regards,
