My question is do you leave it in or do you keep trying to >dig it out? Jack, Leaving it in is only an option if you can't get it out. The method of madness I use is another needle and go fishing, so to speak, to get the broken needle to show it's face. Then when I can see it, I grab it with needle nosed pliers. You could easily use some other pinching type device. With patience and persistence you shouldn't have any problems. So far I have managed to capture all broken needles.
