Quoting from "The Tuning Examination, A Source Book", page 1, paragraph 2 of "Learning to Pass The PTG Tuning Examination": "This exam provides both an objective baseline for minimum or "entry level" tuning skills of Registered Piano Technicians and a sufficient challenge for the masters of our craft." (Michael Travis, RPT) The key phrase is "minimum...tuning skills", not "hey look, I'm better 'cause I took the test on a _____(insert favorite brand of poor piano).
