Aaa-Ohh. You have found something significantly less expensive that works as well? I would be very interested in knowing what it is. My brother and I used to work on our boats together. He would go out and buy this bulk $5 per gallon varnish, start at the bow, and before he found the stern, the bow would be peeling. I found that if you want excellent performance, you had to pay the price. But I don't care to throw money away either! And I do not intend to leave my soundboards in the sun, dunk them in water, nor spill Margaritas on them........well, definitely not the sun and water things. So whatchya got that works well and don't cost an arm & a leg? Yes, my little quart cost me thirty-some bucks!
