THIS is NOT the real question, IMO. The real question is: To get in the Piano Owners Face or NOT???!!!! I've been zingered by Concert Rental situations a few times and find it unacceptable. If the piano was not checked out before being loaded on the truck....NO EXCUSE! If it was then.... Still NO EXCUSE! The facility is renting the piano in good faith, that the piano will be of a caliber sufficient for a Concert Pianist! If it is not, then the rental facility better get their S--- Together, IMO. I'd opt to get in their face. AND I'd fix it so the pianist doesn't have to be concerned about the piano. AND, I would inform the Prime person, in charge of the event, of the situation, (immediately). Just my $.75 worth. End of Rant! (I just woke up from a BAD nightmare, so if I sound agitated, I am!)
