The linked pic is how I often play (whether it be a spinet, console, studio, professional upright, or a PSO (YC 150), home (Yamaha C3), studio (Yamaha C7) or concert (Steinway D) grand) a small part of a song I sometimes play... (I hastily wrote out the sheet music btw...) the note with the accent mark, ffff, and sfz markings is A0. I usually hit that note with the force that I'm learning to hit test blows while tuning with (if not harder). http://pianoplayer.hey.nu/gitfclip.jpg ----- Original message ----- From: "Phil Ryan" <pryan2@the-beach.net> To: "Pianotech" <pianotech@ptg.org> Date: Tue, 4 Mar 2003 22:11:29 -0500 Subject: Re: A0, was to repair or not to repair Grieg's Piano Concerto ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Pasterczyk" <jp@southbaypiano.com> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Sunday, March 02, 2003 10:31 PM Subject: A0, was to repair or not to repair > "David, can you name a piece of classical music, in > which A0 is used? = > I'm only aware of one, and it's rather obscure. > Kevin" > > Kevin... > > Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 16 uses A0 in > the opening passage. > > John Pasterczyk > PTG Associate > _______________________________________________ > pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives > > _______________________________________________ pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives -- Stephen Airy stephenairy@fastmail.fm
