Hi Terry, It's simple to insure a DC system does not get unplugged. Simply get a small "emergency" power-off flash light and replace the bulb with a buzzer from Radio Shack (or other source). Then when the DC unit is unplugged the buzzer will ring for 10 minutes or so--making the piano unusuable til they plug it back in. Because the power-off flashlight self recharges there is no worry about replacing batteries. I wish Damppchaser would offer this "option" on institutional models instead of worrying about a "full" signal--or incorporating it with the "full" signal chirp unit. That may be hard to implement, but you get the idea. Any thoughts? Maybe a 9-volt powered siren or flashing red light that goes off when the DC system is unplugged - that might work. This is especially germane for the performance institution where the piano is rolled off stage to a storage area and then back on stage for a performance. > >Terry Farrell Regards, Don Rose, B.Mus., A.M.U.S., A.MUS., R.M.T., R.P.T. mailto:pianotuna@accesscomm.ca http://us.geocities.com/drpt1948/ 3004 Grant Rd.
