OT ... I don't get it ... was RE: Vespucci and vitriol

Not jesting, but not interested in furthering this discussion. I agree in the importance of documenting original sources, but in this case there appear to be enough secondary sources that support Thump's claim (mostly .edu, or college, sources) that I want to just back off and get out of it. It's frankly not worth the effort.
