Kerry,
Unless you are a fanatical stickler for
historicity, I recommend that you use a very thick
PVC-E type glue for your wippen cloths, such as can be
readily bought at fabric stores as "Aileen's Twice as
Tacky", etc.. They are the very easiest to use for all
types of felt and cloth, almost paste in consistency,
quick grip, dry clear and are easily removed with a
damp rag in the future, if desired.
I also recommend the thicker Protek paste ( such
as is recommended for key pins )for the spoons.
Shouldn't corrode anything, very slippery.
