Upright Wippen Rebuilding Questions

I think my glue was OK, I am just a bit inexperienced. Yes I was holding it about a minute - not really knowing how long I might need to hold it - I've really only used hot hide glue a couple times now. Just figured better holding too long than too short. Thanks for the evaluation comments.

So many of the things I am doing in my shop, I am doing for the first or second time. In many ways my focus is on doing it right and getting the results I want. After I am sure I have that down pat, I will focus on efficiency.
