Just to clarify: Does that make a different knot than the diagram in Reblitz? It looks like it would. Would you use this knot just for bass strings? Also, for a photo of a spliced string, you can see a good one in the book "How to Buy a Used Piano". I forget the author right now. It has good pictures in it. Charles Neuman PTG Assoc, Long Island
