Funny you mention GPS, as all GPS is essentially, is a system of
measuring differences in time. It all comes back to the accuracy of the
clocks! :-) What happens when GMT is no longer accurate, and the
world has no way to guide it's devices?

No Alan. But one thing that you can be concerned about is the loss
of the ability to do things manually. For instance, what happens when
the GPS system goes down? How many pilot/navigators can actually plot a
course with a sextant? Or how many people can do advanced math without
calculators???

Scary, when you think about it.....

Interesting tidbit. In the fairly near future, all devices such as
microwaves, wristwatches, cell phones, computers, PDA's, TV's, VCR's,
automobiles-and anything else you can think of with electronic
clocks-will
auto-sync with a satellite signal and be precisely and uniformly in
time.
It's coming ...

Sounds like something the aliens can use against us. Hm.
