Too bad about the wire.  The one I saw was in great shape.  I don't remember 
many Japanese pianos that well, but this one really caught my fancy.  I ended 
up selling it for around 8k out of that store, which was a really good deal 
for the customer, IMO.  It was black satin.  

I thought I'd seen it 5-6 years ago, but given a new set of facts that had 
been heretofore covered up in the recesses of my aging brain, I think it was 
more like 8-9 years.  

My take on it is that if you're doing it for resale of the piano, the work 
you propose may not bear sufficient cash return.  If it's a pay job for a 
customer, it could end up being rewarding for you AND the client.  There 
aren't many asian pianos I remember quite so well as that one.  Struck a nice 
chord for me.
