Message"...Knabe upright -1890's......on a piano such as this that does =
not support the investment of all new action parts..."

And to the question about why the piano will not support an action =
rebuild. It needs a new block, board and bridges, along with a new set =
of keys and all action parts. Oh, the case is a wreck also.=20

Sounds to me like all it needs is a new block, board, bridges, keys and =
action and some case repairs!

This on a piano owned by a woman with two kids in College who plays the =
thing twice a year.

Ahhhhh, now we get to the crux of the matter - it's the owner that can't =
justify the investment - so in this case it appears the actual piano has =
little to do with its continuing state of disrepair. Just trying to =
define the status quo source.
