Steinway Sustenudo

Hi, list,
  I have a customer that has a 1952 vintage Hamburg Steinway D that has
problems with the sustenudo system. Many of the little tabs are loose and
pointing down as if some springs are bad/broken/missing. Can the springs be
replaced, or does one have to replace the whole part? Thanks
