You're dealing with a "vorsetzer" or "push-up" piano player. Steinway never made these, so it's probably a Pianola (Aeolian) or Angelus (Wilco & White) product. There were numerous other makers, but these were the leaders. The vorsetzers (lit.; "front-sitter") came out at the start of the player piano era because most folks already had pianos. Usually, they play 65-note rolls, but a few play 88-note or even Welte or other reproducing rolls. Any competant player tech can restore these.
