Hello Don - again Just to say I am indeed on "the same page" and Yes, A = 440 IS "A4" I always cound the bottom 8ve as C0, C#0, D0 etc... so the "string that broke" may well be called "C#5/3, or C#5 2&3 if it's a pair... etc. etc. Regards Michael G (UK)
