scotch tape residue

Take a piece of the same tape and tap little taps on the the residue
with it. It will soften and get glued on the new tape. finish with
whatever cleane you vand, usually you can get all the stuff off with
this method, no cleaning necessary)

More difficult after sometime.
Otherwhile there are special products to have the tapes off, they
usually dont attack the finish, but a try is prusent.
