Hello Alan F Yes! The overdampers' very top dampers are so very thin that they tend not to have much dampening effect at all at all. The best Overdampers I've found are Bluthner. They're a big piano. The smaller the piano, the tighter the space into which the damper felt can operate. The over-damper felt, unlike the under-damper, is "end grain" felt. Regards Michael G (UK)
