If you no longer have the hammer flange pins to look at, you can check the wippen flanges for that telltale turquoise color. Any place there is verdigris, it's best to replace the bushing cloth as well as the pins so that the problem doesn't return. If the dealer just wants to get it out the door, then I'd look for tightness in the wips.
