String Breakage

Valentino -

There are a lot of questions to ask about what may be going on... who is
playing? Have you every seen them play? How heavy-handed are they? Is the
piano in a performance venue with a speaker near the piano [in my
experience, if the piano is miked and there is a monitor near the
instrument for the player to listen to the piano on, because everything
else on stage is freakishly loud, it can cause some heavy-handed play and
string breakage]. Are the strings prematurely rusted? What kind of
environment is the piano in?

I have seen this kind of problem in Korean made pianos, but I would find
it hard to believe in Yamaha...

Look forward to your answers...

Hello, I am Valentino.
I have a problem with a Yamaha U3 silent (2 years of life): the
strings are breaking at the bridge. At now the are 25 the break
strings (2 in the bass section and the rest on the tenor and treble
section). Not one string is broken at the capotasto, all are breaking
at the bridge: what is the problem?
Thanks to all
Valentino
