Optimum Bridge height

Is there an optimum height for a bridge (or recommended minimum and 
maximum height) in terms of sound production?

Since the question immediately addresses an essentially subjective 
domain...    what we like soundwise and what we dont.

no.

I doubt there is a structual optimal height either.
