Terry, Liquid hide-glue is very much unlike hot hide glue. It takes a VERY LONG time to set. It will soak ALL through felt long before it sets. I use Elmers Probond because it doesn't run and soak through as much as Titebond does. For hammers though, hot hide glue should be the choice if the piano is valuable or is likely to last long enough to need the service again. Tax purposes? Remember you will have to report it as income (think reasonable wholesale valuation) unless your organization is a registered charity. Your official forms for receipts etc. are adequate, you must keep a copy too. Andrew Las Cruces, NM
