Hi Cy, Why do you think bass strings are under less tension? Or do you mean the tension of all the treble strings exceeds the tension of all the bass strings? I used to go a0 to c88 but have "reformed" to doing the bass last because I can often make rather large pitch corrections and have the piano sounding acceptable for domestic tuning. It will be unstable no matter how many "passes" are done, so I prefer to wait some time before trying to improve on the results of the pitch correction.
