I doubt that alcohol (don't use methanol, it's toxic and ethanol works just 
as well) will soften the moldings enough to help much. There's a fair gap 
between healing the sick and raising the dead, and putting salve on the 
bones is rarely successful. Pour the vodka in the pianist instead, where it 
will do some good.
