Upright Hammer Butts

Hello Keith, Clark and List
Keith said: "I haven't seen one thing mentioned that will definitely cause
hammers
to bobble." My tuppence-worth here relates to the one thing I know which
will cause an upright hammer to "bobble" - a broken Butt Spring. Nothing
then will cause the hammer to "get back past the point of no return" if that
spring is bust and the piano keys merely "caressed". If you couple that
scenario with a Jack Button set to non-setoff (by bending up the set-off
rail supports) you have a true disaster on your hands.
And I don't have that much-bespoken-of "flame suit" do you get them at
Woolworths?
Regards from clear-blue-skied Sunny Sussex (at the moment)
