At the NAMM show in Anaheim. It does, indeed, have a adjustable touch. It was closed up tight so folks like me could not see the actual process. As to its being the first upright with this capability ... well, I beg to differ. I have come across at least two old U.S. built uprights with this feature. One use springs mounted on a rotating rail just above the key balance pins The springs rested on the back side of the key with touch force being regulated by the amount of spring pressure being applied to the back of the key. The other used a rotating hammer spring rail. Action touch weight was varied by the amount of spring force against the hammer butt. Not a lot really new under the sun. Del
