I don't know if this has been addressed yet, but I'll bite. On a grand, =
the shanks must be up off the hammer rail, or cushion. If they aren't, =
then yes you can get unlevel keys.  I remember one new guy who was =
working on a chinese piano and he started leveling keys, and later when =
he started the regulation, he learned the error of his ways. =20
