The first thing should do is work for a Steinway dealer(full time preferabley)After that you need to get someone at the dealership to reccomend you be put on the waiting list for the factory training classes called C.F.Steinway Acadamy. There are four classes, each one takes a week. The demand is so great that you should expect to be called for your week about every 3-4 years. That is if you work for a dealer,if not it could take even longer. The only other option is to become a tech at an "All Stienway School".They seem to move those guys through a bit quicker. Dear List,
Would anyone have any advice as to how to become a "Steinway Authorized Tech" ?
Is it even possible to become authorized without having worked there ?
PS I'm not affiliated with the "Ayers" brand piano.
