I am faced with cleaning the strings and generally shinying up things in a well preserved 1920's Ampico grand, with only a little darkness on the windings and a little corrosion on the plain wires. Haven't done this in a couple of years and desire advice on best known current practice. ( Am thinking of gray abrasive pads for plain wires, and/or "Cotton Wadding" polish for the windings.) This is your big chance to display your superior knowledge, and even call me an idjit, if it suits you! Thanks! Thump __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
