"low blade end" is the French name (literally translated from "bas de lame"). It is action cloth, BTW, the use of backchecks felt here may induce fast wear (and noise ?). If that have been done, may be someone changed the dampers for thicker ones and installed thicker felt as a fix for their move . I'll avoid that kind of things if it is so When examination occurs the first time, it is a good idea to really dismount the parts so we can have a better idea of the history of the instrument. Also, you have something to show your customer, for sure band aid fix are sometime all what the piano value, but you can't sell them as the real job, and when the real job's price is given , the customer does not process with the band aid .
