Michael, I assume you are concerned that the foot print is not large enough
to be stable.  You could bolt the base to as large a piece of plywood as you
like.  I usually put the piano bench under the piano as an additional safety
measure.

I've found it to be rather stable as the other two legs are still in
position.  If you want to see a REALLY dangerous one, look at the one for
$120 on the last page of the QRS brochure # 0308.
