Someone mentioned a Subaru Forester awhile ago which is a very nice car and works well in the snow. The Imprezza is also a nice option. Fold down back seat holds a grand action easily. All wheel drive on some models good in various weather conditions. Good mileage, reasonable price. I have one of each at present and both have been very reliable.
