Saw a very rare Hammond console piano with allen screws holding the top lid in place. Seemed like a decent, well made little piano. This was found mostly on Everett Series 10 and 11 "Institutional Uprights", although it did show up on a few of their home models from time to time. It was, in fact, a factory thing...
